I just watched The Friends of Eddie Coyle...fucking fantastic. Grimy crime story starring Robert Mitchum & Peter Boyle made by Paramount in the 70's (the golden age of American cinema in my opinion)....I hiiiighly recommend this one

It's uncomfortable for me to even be in the same room as Matt's computer knowing what's on there.

I watched Greenberg the other night. It wasn't bad. I rather liked it, actually.

I saw Jackass 3D last night. It was funny, but I'll probably never watch it again. I had trouble handling two parts of it. I started to watch Being There, I was in a Peter Sellers mood I guess, but I was tired and watched only a small bit before I went to sleep.

it's not a movie, but the first 4 episodes of boardwalk empire are really fucking promising. that and the new season of eastbound and down is starting to get really funny again. i was worried after the first episode cause i didnt laugh too much, but they've gotten progressively better.

boardwalk empire is coming along very nicely, and eastbound and down just needed a couple of episodes to hit it's stride i think. to add to that, bored to death is also consistently hilarious and fantastic, and definitely a show worth throwing a few more seasons at.

i was on stumbleupon recently and found a wikipedia entry for the movie begotten by elias merhige. it's an experimental movie from the ninties dealing with the biblical story of creation in a completely fucked up way. if you're a fan of experimental shit at all, it's worth checking out.

boardwalk empire is amazing. i was really worried about being let down after the first three because of there being a different director than scorsese, but the past two have delivered. east bound and down has completely lived up to my expectations. stevie is better than ever, kenny is just as self righteous as he ever was, and there's a midget named aaron that makes me lol every time i think about his name being aaron. i really like bored to death, too. sunday is a pretty awesome night for TV.

i've been re-visiting six feet under, and jesus christ i don't think there will ever be another TV show that'll top it. i just started the second season and can't wait to get further in. i also plan on going through the sopranos again, as i feel like when i watched it last time i ignored any of the symbolism that existed and just watched it for what was happening on the surface because i had them all on my computer and just wanted to get it over with. i'll probably do the same thing with lost eventually, as i'm in the same situation with that show.

if you guys haven't watched six feet under or the sopranos, you really should.

i just watched the new east bound and down again and i think it's my favorite episode of the series so far. kenny making stevie break up with his first girlfriend, stevie "he's out in hollywood. i did a little searching online and it turns out that homeboy directed the blair witch project" about edwardo sanchez. stevie fucking that girl that looks like me shirtless, "yo need to get serious!" "you futhking pranth around here"

this is probably the funniest shit i've seen, ever, and it's brilliance lies in its effect to make you care about the characters other than their ability to make you laugh. stevie actually breaking up with maria for a guy who couldn't care less about him, then kenny walking in on his lady getting eaten out by his "boss" and then imploding on the field like that, these things actually have me concerned about the characters, which is something that the first season only did for me in small doses.

best show on TV right now.

Six Feet Under rules, except the last two seasons or so, but overall it's great. The Sopranos is amazing as well, but nothing tops The Wire. Nothing. At. All.
