Guitar/Bass/Drums thread version 2.0

I usually mark this thread as read... but wow, I'm so glad I finally gave in to see why it was continually getting posts.

back on topic, losers.

I got done refinishing my RG last week. I'll have some pictures when it's put back together. I'm quite pumped on how it turned out.

I'm thinking about stripping the tolex off my cabinet, sanding it down, and staining it. Anyone else ever done this? i'm just really sick of how shitty the tolex looks, and I'll probably end up changing the grill cloth out too.

what kind/color of stain? It honestly shouldn't be too hard, you just gotta be patient. Taking the tolex off will more than likely be the most frustrating part.

Something really dark, probably mahogany wood stain. Sanding sounds like a huge pain in the ass. I really wish my parents had an electric sander to make my life easier.

haha, I know. I really just need to do it. Soon.

Thinking about selling my ripper. I don't really play it much anymore. I'd rather get new pickups in my Peavey bass, and set it up how I want it, because I like how it plays so much. Still need to get the input fixed in it though, maybe I'll take it CA sometime next week.

anyone want to buy an Epiphone Ripper?
