I got a Sunn Concert Bass head since the last thread. Too bad it's basically unusable right now because it overheats too easily and isn't grounded. I need some damn money to get it fixed.

its not that hard if you can solder. If you get a nice kit, its really just like putting together a puzzle, or a color by numbers type thing, but understanding how everything works, and being able to do it from scratch is what i find very hard, thus I am not able to do it.

i didn't post in the original thread BUT...

rig-wise i am running a 5150 blockletter through an emperor 4x12 loaded with v30s. hopefully i'll be picking up another emperor 4x12 in the next few months. i guess i should say hopefully i'll be starting the long and frustrating process of getting another emperor 4x12. if i start the process in the next three months, i should have it by winter of next year. if i am lucky.

Attn. Eric or anyone who knows anything about this;
Would I be able to get someone to rewire my cabinet to run at 2 ohms instead of 4, so I can match my head, and cab (2, and 2)? I just want to run my head at it's full power so to speak.

I would figure. I just wonder who could do it, besides CA. I just don't want them to fuck my cab up.

I'm not sure, I just know that the back of my cab says 4 ohms. Here's the cab if that helps. I tried to find out.

I'd have to know the ohmage of your speakers before i could let you know if its possible, all you have to do is take the back plate off, and it should say right on the back of the speaker.

ps: fwiw, from what i've read it's usually safer to run solid state amps at 4 ohms rather than two

Can I change the ohms on my head? it's set at 2 ohms right now. 2 speaker output jacks. It just says 2 ohms.I can't change it with a turn or anything like I've seen with my other heads. i'll check my speakers next time I practice.
