Jacob, Mike T, and myself decided to make the drive up for this.
Faceplant 2012 - Uhh this band really wasn't that good. They did cover Infest and the Cro-Mags though, so that was cool.
Led Astray - Really impressive, especially considering how young these guys are. Hardcore, plain and simple. Sounded kinda like No Warning. I was moshing. Straight Edge Revenge covers area always good too.
The Pledge - First time seeing these guys, definitely one of the best melodic hardcore bands I've heard in a while. Lots of energy, sweet 108 intro and GB cover. Nice dudes too.
Suicide Pact - Really heavy, they're good at what they do. Would've moshed, but too many huge dudes doing spin kicks. Fuck that. We went outside for part of the set because it was pretty annoying. Closed with an Integrity cover though, that was cool.
Soul Control - I thought they sounded even better than they did at the Brickhouse. Surprisingly, more people were into them here. Nicest guys, awesome band, can't get enough of 'em.
Outbreak - Again, I still like this band. They played almost the exact same setlist as at the Brickhouse, except they added "Working Dead" for this one. Definitely a lot more intense than the Brickhouse, a lot more people knew the words. Overall very good.
Pros:
- A+ show overall.
- That venue was fucking SWEET!
- Soul Control being really fucking nice.
- Hoobastank burrito at Denny's afterwards.
- Meeting that Brad Urban guy, he was incredibly nice as well. Bought a super old Let Down shirt from him for 5 bucks.
Cons:
- Driving back super late.
- Denny's gave me the shits like none other.
