th' inbred - insanely influential, some of the older dudes on here might have gotten to see them. they broke up before my parents even got together, but their music is somehow still good and relevant today. check them out on myspace, order their stuff from alternative tentacles.
lincoln - another really awesome hardcore band from way back. i guess converge covers one of their songs on DVD? i don't know, when i tell dudes from other places where i'm from they always mention this band, and for good reason. if anybody wants, i can upload the songs or something.
social junk - my personal favorite, this duo does it right with a wide array of generas to draw on from their extensive catalog. starting in the early 2000s as a weird post punk, no wave noisey 4 piece, they've gone through a lot of lineup changes and are now the original two members and an awesome fucking drummer that they found in philadelphia, where they currently live. i can't even express how much i love this band. i got to play guitar for them for my like, 17th birthday once, and they surprised me with a recording of it soon after as my actual present. they actually include it in their discography, too. it's called "j. gonzales." i haven't seen them play in like a year, that will hopefully change soon.
