I'm trying to book a tour this summer for representatives of Pittsburgh PA noise/diy/counterculture collective NNNCO. we play industrial / harsh noise / tape music... myspace messaged some people before I found this forum but I thought I'd give it a go as well!

the tour is:
RJ MYATO (me, free music at http://rjmyato.bandcamp.com / http://www.myspace.com/rjmyato )
INSIDE OUT BOY (industrial duo of tapes & vocals... no myspace but the members websites are http://www.myspace.com/ekicchowrah and http://ponyboycassettes.webs.com )
CINCINNATUS C (describes himself as toilet folk... not noise, a dude played weird fucked up folk songs... http://soundcloud.com/cincinnatus-c )

representing NNN COALITION : http://nnnco.wordpress.com

the date we're looking for is July 26th or 27th...!

if you're into this kind of weird shit or you could hook us up with some contacts for people in WV who are that'd be great! thanks!

I will try to see what 123 in motown would say about this. My band is playing there twice at the end of the month, and I've been meaning to talk to the dude that runs that place about booking shows anyway. ill let you know what he says if you can wait that long.

sure, sounds good man! thanks!

it sucks, but there's not really a scene here for noise stuff at all. i have to drive 2=3+ hours to play out anywhere. the booking at 123 is done by like 3 people, 5 at most, and they're all in bands that people actually give a shit about. they're a busy bar, so it's really more of a business situation than an art situation and it's next to impossible to get shows there unless you're A. a big band or B. a band that's friends with somebody who already does shows there and you have something to offer them like a good show in an actual city that'll make them money, something that'll actually benefit them. LJ (the owner) will not respond to contact attempts of any sort unless you're already a person who does stuff there. so, long story short, 123 is not an option.

it's nothing personal either, the dude just runs a smart business. if you look at it from his point of view: you could book a band that is familiar and that you KNOW will draw, or yo can book a band that nobody knows or cares about and will just reinforce the decision to go to another bar. it's really, really shitty, but that's how it's always been and always will be as long as the ownership stays the same.

however, the 27th is a tuesday, which is open mic at 123. if you guys all synched up and just shared gear, it'd make it really easy for you guys to come down and jam that. it's a fun time; drink specials, cool restaurant across the street, some cool people. you might check that out.

otherwise, look on myspace for bands from huntington west virginia and their calendars or something. huntington is a pretty noise friendly city, and i have some good friends down there whose label is based in pittsburgh. maybe they'd be into a trade or something. that's in all honesty probably your best bet.

GOOD LUCK!

yeah based on our schedule huntington would be the best city to have it in, as far as driving before & after.
