I need to think hard on this. 2009 was a fantastic year. And yes, Gaga's Fame Monster is going to be in the top 5.

I can't pick 5. So here are 10, in no particular order. I couldn't totally decide though of course, like Juss-Moshin' up there if I was asked a different day I'd probably say different things.

TUI - "Secrets of the World"
Blacklisted - "No One Deserves To Be Here More Than Me"
Title Fight - "The Last Thing You Forget"
Set Your Goals - "This Will Be The Death Of Us" (fuck y'all, it's catchy as shit and I still love this band)
Mother of Mercy - "III" (SUFFER THE AGONY)
Steel Nation - "Forever Wounded" (SO MUCH MOSH)
Backtrack - "Deal With The Devil" 7"
Bad Seed - self-titled AND War Hungry split. Actually, "Real Rain Pours" is by far the best hardcore song of 2009. Just saying.
Transit - "Stay Home" EP (some of the best pop punk I've heard in a long long time)
Forfeit - "The Lower Depths"

I had a hard time thinking of many more releases this year.

5. Between The Buried And Me - The Great Misdirect

I honestly hoped that the new BTBAM would be amazing, and it is, but it doesn't have much replay value.

This was hard, so I did a top ten instead. I have a feeling these will switch order as the weeks progress:

you're right, but i think the newest stuff is the MOST awesome. i've never seen the live DVD, though.

How could anyone not like Dream Homes. That album is perfect.

im not sure if a top 5 can fit everything or if i can remember all the albums that have came out this year or if i can put them in any sort of order but im going to put some albums ive listened to alot that came out this year

O Pioneers- Neon Creeps

Im sure there are more but thats just what came to mind at the moment. There are also a couple albums i havent had the chance to hear yet such as the new mastodon,strike anywhere and converge albums. it feels like ive been listening to alot of albums ive had for a long time more so than new albums some of those would be

The Locust- Plague Soundscapes
The Blood Brothers- March On Electric Children, Burn Piano Island Burn, Crimes, Young Machetes
Cave In- Until Your Heart Stops
Pennywise- Full Circle
The Ocean- Precambrian
and of course the usual plethora of HWM, coalesce, isis, a wilhelm scream and against me

i realize ive completley blew the format of a top five and of a 2009 list but thats what ive been doing this year, blowing things.
