Yellow Submarine is pretty cool, but it was a Lennon/McCartney song with Ringo on lead vocals. Honestly, I love Octopus's Garden. For me it is his best song, but he did have help from Harrison on that one.

i just consider them a 70s band, and have you ever seen the rain was written in the 70s and is one of the best songs of all time so whatever. i'm having a really tough time coming up with somebody for the 00's. i don't even like him, but connor oberst maybe? i feel like a dick saying that but i can't really think of any greats from my teen years. it's sad.

Ringo was amazing at being nothing too much more than solid, which always goes under the radar as far as drummers go. it takes a lot more skill than you would think to be able to do what he did
