Mastodon, BTBAM, Baroness, Valient Thorr - 05.22.10

This was basically my Facebook update this morning:

Valient Thorr rocked my face off last night. Baroness were the highlight of the show for me. I didn't watch Between The Buried And Me. Mastodon played "Crack The Skye" from start to finish then came out and played some old stuff but oddly, it was like they were 2 different bands; Angry, serious, and kind of going through the motions, then fun and smiling. Good hangouts with everyone too. Kudos to you, Lexington.

Valient Thorr - This band ripped. I really enjoyed their set and their energy was unmatched by anyone else the rest of the night.

Baroness - Fucking Mind Blowing. Jesus. I've not been that mind blown during a set in a long time.

BTBAM - Didn't watch them. Don't care.

Mastodon - Their set was good, Brent was pissed about something and kept leaving the stage to scream at people between songs. After Crack The Skye they sounded like a new band and it was amazing.
