Would anyone be interested in doing a metallic/sludgy hardcore band along the lines of Eyehategod, Integrity, Neurosis, His Hero Is Gone, Cursed?. We practice in the Wheeling area, We could arrange transportation if you live farther away as well. PM me if you're interested

exactly. sometimes people play music for fun and not to be the wierdest most original band out there.

but then theres those people who just have to try to offend someone every chance they get.

as long you're playing a music style that you enjoy, who cares if it sounds similar to something else.

There are more noise artists than there are bands doing this kind of stuff.

i've never once in my entire life set off to sound like something else in any musical project i've ever been involved in in my entire life and it's ridiculously lame to set off to do something with a goal set in place that's already been reached by the 6 or so bands that the OP posted. GTFO if you guys are going to cry at me because i made a joke about how all hardcore, for all intents and purposes, sounds the same.
