Anyone have any experience building cases?

I'm going to build two big cases with wheels. One for my bass drum, floor tom, and cymbals, and one from my snare, rack tom, and hardware. Anyone have any pointers?

Have a good way to transport them, and good luck getting them up stairs. That's about all the advice I have on that kind of case, haha.

We're going to be getting a van soon, and I'm going to try to make them super light with handles on either end to make it easier to get them up and down stairs.

If you're going for light, make sure all the metal is aluminum, and I don't really know any way to get any sort of durable ply wood to be light. However, if you can work all that out, it should turn out quite awesome.
